During a period of severe winter storms impacting the Puget Sound region, Enviro-Tech Diving, Inc. was dispatched on emergency storm response for an urgent infrastructure issue in Lakewood, Washington State. High winds, heavy rainfall, and sustained wave action had compromised a marine structure, creating conditions that required immediate assessment and repair to prevent further damage.
Our dive team mobilized quickly, coordinating logistics and equipment to safely operate in dynamic storm-affected conditions. Upon arrival, divers conducted an underwater inspection to identify the source and extent of the damage. The assessment confirmed the need for emergency patching to stabilize the structure and protect it from ongoing environmental stress.
Working within a narrow weather window, Enviro-Tech divers executed a targeted underwater patching operation designed to restore integrity and limit escalation. The work required precise placement, strong situational awareness, and strict adherence to safety protocols—especially given reduced visibility, surge, and debris commonly associated with storm response projects. The patch was installed efficiently and verified by divers before demobilization.
Emergency storm response projects like this highlight the importance of having experienced commercial divers who are prepared to operate under pressure. With over 30 years of experience supporting municipalities, ports, and marine operators throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond, Enviro-Tech Diving is equipped to respond rapidly when conditions change and infrastructure is at risk.
