Cold Bay Dock Demolition

When a marine facility needed to replace deteriorated steel support piles beneath an active dock, Enviro-Tech Diving mobilized commercial divers and marine construction support personnel to assist with the underwater work. Operating in cold water, tidal conditions, and a remote coastal environment, our team coordinated closely with construction crews to safely support pile removal and installation activities while minimizing disruptions to facility operations.

Enviro-Tech Diving provided commercial diving services to support pile extraction and replacement activities from both the shoreline and an adjacent crane barge. Divers performed underwater inspections of the existing structure, installed rigging on deteriorated piles, guided crane-assisted lifting operations, and assisted with positioning during pile removal.

Throughout the project, the dive team maintained constant communication with surface personnel while working around heavy equipment, active marine construction operations, and challenging underwater conditions

Projects like this demonstrate Enviro-Tech Diving’s ability to integrate commercial diving with complex marine construction operations. From underwater construction & inspections, heavy rigging to pile replacement support and structural rehabilitation, our team delivers safe, efficient, and reliable solutions for ports, industrial facilities, contractors, and waterfront operators throughout Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Whether supporting new construction or extending the service life of existing marine infrastructure, Enviro-Tech Diving provides the expertise needed to complete challenging projects both above and below the waterline.
